On several occasions creating a window on a wall has led to loss of the remaining wall. As far as i know this child object is aligned exactly and linked appropriately with the Parent wall . Are there any other possible explanations?

Disappearing walls.
Hi Rik,
No explanation I can readily think of. From a simple zone, I've tried adding windows using the Insert Child Object item as well as manually in a range of different ways but I cannot emulate what you describe.
Does it only happen in a particular model or is it possible for you to lay out the exact steps you go through when it happens in order for me to replicate the process ?
Kind regards,
Andrew

I have found the same bug,
I have found the same bug, I can recreate the effect sometimes. But I think it has to do with how the model is put together I am not quite sure but I will try to replicate the error and when I do I will post it.
replicated the error
I have replicated the error on two surfaces in the model.
In relation to this error. If you cannot undo it I find that the only way I can rectify the error is to delete the window itself and try to reinsert it.
I hope this helps.
Andrew take a look at the model I have posted, I do not know if the error is supposed to happen but if it is I would like to know.
Good Luck,
Orlando
