Radiance - Overcast vs. Sunny Sky

Hello,

I am using Radiance to model the daylighting of a lab building and I am getting higher daylight results for north facing rooms on "sunny with sun" simulations then I am for "overcast" simulations. I had always gone by the assumption that overcast conditions were better for north facing rooms (reflection off of clouds, general glow of overcast conditions) than a sunny sky where no direct sunlight is entering the room. Am I wrong in my assumption, or is there an error that I am making in the Radiance software (I am modeling in Ecotect and then exporting to Radiance)?

Cheers,
nathan
